How Foundry got started:
My wife and I have had a women's boutique for 12 years and have been waiting for the right time to open a men's shop. Men's fashion is in such a good place right now. Men are really starting to care about how they look and what they are wearing again. It is an exciting time and we wanted to be a part of that.
Your shop location:
We are located in Gig Harbor. WA. It's a small town just south of Seattle.
The Foundry shop crew:
The crew consists of myself and Nick Sandy. Nick has been working part time for us over the last 8 or 9 months and has just come aboard full time.
What are some of your shop's favorite brands?
Imperial of course! Also, we do offer a variety of denim brands. Rogue Territory out of California has been doing some amazing stuff and it just seems to get better and better with each season. We have also added Red Wing Heritage boots to the list of constantly evolving brands.
What should men be wearing this season from Foundry?
Raw selvedge denim. This has been a growing trend over the past years in the men's market. There is something special about how a pair of denim is manufactured and the ability to create your own pair of jeans that no one else is going to have.
What style trends do you see in your community?
We sell product for the everyday guy. Whether it's work to dinner or just hanging out with family or friends.
What do you/ your customers look for in quality barber products?
Product that really does what the packaging says. Imperial is a perfect example whether you are looking for a certain hold pomade or any of the face and shave products. It performs as it says.
Why do you sell Imperial Barber Products?
I personally have been using Imperial product for a few years now. It is easy to sell a product that you believe in and use yourself. We also carry it because of the story and it being manufactured in the USA.
What Imperial Barber Product would you recommend?
All of them. We truly believe Imperial is one of the best men's grooming products on the market today.
