BLACKTOP POMADE is our solution for those wanting something a little bit different than the rest of the crowd. The black tint helps partially cover up gray hairs and makes any hairstyles look more dramatic.

Just like the rest of our pomades, the hold strength depends on the amount of water in your hair. For a lighter hold, apply with water or on damp hair. For a stronger hold, apply a slightly heavier amount on dry hair.

BLACKTOP POMADE reactivates in water for easy re-styling. The best part? You get dramatic black-hued hair and an amazing hold that rinses out clean and easy. Great for curly and wavy hair.

BLACKTOP POMADE was designed to be used for those with salt & pepper type hair and lighter hair color. For those with black or dark brown hair, we recommend our CLASSIC POMADE instead.

CONTROL + ENHANCE

Blacktop Pomade combines medium-strong hold and low shine with a temporary black tint designed to subtly darken and enhance the appearance of salt & pepper, gray, and lighter hair. Adjust the amount of moisture in your hair to control application and hold.

Start with a small amount and work evenly between your palms. Apply throughout the hair from roots to ends, distributing evenly before shaping into your desired style. Build with additional product as needed.

FOR MAXIMUM HOLD

Apply to dry or nearly dry hair. Less moisture delivers Blacktop Pomade's strongest hold and maximum control.

FOR LIGHTER HOLD + EASIER APPLICATION

Apply to damp, towel-dried hair. The added moisture allows Blacktop Pomade to distribute more easily through the hair while creating a lighter, more workable hold.

Blacktop Pomade is designed for salt & pepper, gray, and lighter-colored hair. Its subtle black tint helps darken the appearance of gray hair while adding control and definition to classic styles.

Blacktop Pomade provides medium-strong hold with low shine. The hold can be adjusted by how much water is in your hair when you apply it.

It helps partially cover and darken the appearance of gray or salt & pepper hair with a subtle black tint. It is not a permanent hair color, and the tint washes out completely in the shower.

You can, but the tinting effect may not be noticeable on naturally dark hair. If you do not need the darkening effect, Imperial recommends Classic Pomade instead.

Yes. Because it is water-based, you can add a little water to reactivate the pomade and restyle your hair as needed.

The dark tint may stain light-colored clothing or run in heavy sweat or rain. Use extra care in hot or wet conditions and around light fabrics.
